Did you know that ...
An apple is a fruit of an apple tree, one of the oldest crop and cultivated plants.
There are more than 10 000 varieties of apples differing in taste, aroma, sweetness, consistency, shape, colour and kind of flesh. They contain sugar, proteins, vitamin C, B1, B2, PP, provitamin A, pantothenic acid. Tannins contained in apples disinfect the alimentary canal and regulate digestion. Pectins dissolve cholesterol and play an important role in prevention and treatment of atherosclerosis.
Furthermore apples deliver calcium, phosphorus, potassium, magnesium salts and small quantities of iron to the organism.
